Chance The Rapper & Young Thug Are Back In The Studio

According to hiphopnews
Chance The Rapper and Young Thug may not seem like the most obvious of collaborators, but every time they get in the studio together they come out with something special. Previously collaborating on the Coloring Book highlight “Mixtape,” and more recently, the standalone SoundCloud single “Big B’s,” it seems that Thug and Chance are working on new music, as studio pics from photographer 808V suggest.

The photos don’t tell us all that much, but they’re a good indication that the two have recorded some more music together.

We know that Young Thug is known for being extremely productive during his sessions, impressing Kanye with his ability to write songs on the spot. According to Thug, he and Kanye have recorded upwards of 40 songs together. “Way more than an album,” he revealed on Sway In The Morning last year.

On top of his large catalog of unreleased tracks, Thug has kept a steady output of solo material, releasing his Beautiful Thugger Girls project earlier this year. His collaborative EP with Carnage, Young Martha, is due out soon. The first single with Meek Mill, “Homie,” was released earlier this month. On top of that, Thugger has previewed new music with Future. Last December there were rumors that the two Atlanta rappers ay be releasing a joint project, but one has yet to surface. They did however collaborate on the Beautiful Thugger Girls highlight “Relationship.”

As for Chance’s next moves, the Chicago emcee previewed an R&B-sampling track in August. After releasing three critically-acclaimed mixtapes, he’s considering putting out a proper debut. “I’ll probably put out an album,” he told DJ Semtex in November. “That’s what I’ve been thinking about… I don’t know exactly the format every time when I’m making something, but a lot of times I have an idea. I think what I’m working on now is an album.”
